CHAPTER 11 LISTS OF SIMILAR PERSONS, FAMILIES AND NOTES
OR
SEARCHING YOUR FOLDER FOR SPECIFIC INFORMATION
INTRODUCTION...
GIM provides a powerful tool -- called GIM LISTS -- for
searching your folder for items of specific information.
GIM LISTS provides the ability to search for a wide variety
of conditions, such as:
-- all persons born in California between 1849 and 1879
-- all female ancestors who married more than once
-- all notes which contain a certain word or phrase
-- all families with between seven and ten children
-- all persons who married before a certain age
-- and so on
In fact, GIM LISTS has been designed to be so flexible, that
you should be able to search for virtually anything that you
can imagine.
Moreover, GIM LISTS has also been designed to sort and report
the results of these searches in a wide variety of ways.
This chapter will explain this simple-yet-powerful GIM
feature.
